Shipoke

Shipoke is a relatively small residential neighborhood just south of downtown, and is known for its picturesque views of the Susquehanna.

Pros

Shipoke’s population is just over 400, meaning that it’s a tight-knight community. It’s also bordered on the west by Riverfront Park, which hosts a number of festivals and events throughout the year.

Cons

The neighborhood is located in the flood plain of the Susquehanna, so it is known to flood during major storms.
