New Cumberland
Located 10 minutes south of Harrisburg on the west shore, New Cumberland is a small borough with a historic downtown area.
Pros
Inexpensive housing combined with proximity to downtown Harrisburg makes New Cumberland a popular choice among commuters. It is also home to the historic West Shore Theater and an annual Apple Festival that attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The town is also bordered on the south by Yellow Breeches Creek, which is a popular destination for fishing and kayaking.
Cons
Aside from a small downtown area, New Cumberland does not have many non-residential businesses.
