The Work of Master Penman Jake Weidmann

While we continue to live in a world slowly being taken over by screens and monitors and the typed word, it’s comforting to know that people like Jake Weimann exist. He is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work is a celebration of handwriting and calligraphy. He has dedicated most of his life to his craft and is indeed now a certified Master Penman, one of only 12 people in the world with that title. He is also the youngest Master Penman by 3 decades.

There’s something great about the written word that typing and computers just can’t touch and it’s fantastic that people like Jake Weidmann make sure that we don’t lose touch with the pen and paper.

Isaac, thanks for sharing this art form. Now I am inspired to write more, read more, and learn more about this artistic skill. I’ve always been an old-fashioned soul when it comes to doing something artistic; Creating something as beautiful and as awesome as the works of Jacob Weidmann must come from the heart…all things beautifully perfect or perfectly beautiful are done with fervor and relentless mastery of the perfection of such a delicate and difficult craft or art. I’ve always like Colorado, too…the place that inspired Jacob to hone his innate talent…Cheers and wishing to read more inspiring posts from one of the most interesting sites on the internet, Design Instruct….Carry on! By the way, I like the artist’s name – Jacob! My favorite name in the whole world!
