Job Description/Responsibilities:

WebpageFX is looking for a passionate, efficient Open Source developer

Job Description:

The Web Programmer/Developer works to implement multiple large-scale web projects for a variety of industry leading clients and complete many smaller to medium size programming responsibilities for existing projects. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and participating in the programming, implementation, testing, and support of web-based projects using the LAMP solution stack of software
• Programming, developing, and producing data-driven web applications, web sites, and mobile apps using the latest technology solutions and software
• Consulting with clients and the account team to ensure the use of effective Internet-based technologies for enterprise business applications
• Debugging and problem solving across a wide variety of open source and mobile platforms

Skills:

• Experience with PHP5 and MySQL4/5 is essential
• Comfortable with both object oriented and procedural programming methodologies
• Strong knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, indexes, table normalization and database design
• Ability to work well individually and on a team, high concurrency (many projects) and fast paced environment required
• Strong understanding of software development life-cycle and best practices
• In-depth knowledge of hand-coded standards compliant HTML/XHTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript
• Proficiency in working and developing on Linux

A Plus if you Have:

• Experience developing Web applications
• CSS3/HTML5
• MooTools, Prototypejs, jQuery
• Objective-C or other mobile experience
• Experience with Subversion or Git
• Experience with ASP.NET a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with open source CMS platforms (Joomla!, Drupal, Magento)

Preferred Education:

• A Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline is preferred.

Experience:

• 1 to 5 years of open source web development

Location: Carlisle, PA

Compensation: $40K to $50K (Based on experience & sample projects)
